Capybase

Codelore’s own product: a hosted business logic layer with preset endpoints behind secure auth. Teams call it from their own code, keep their data, and start on product work instead of plumbing.

Capybase visuals coming soon

Instead of every team rebuilding the same endpoints and the auth in front of them, Capybase offers them as a hosted API layer that teams call from their own code.

The constraint

Backend teams keep rebuilding the same groundwork: common endpoints and the auth layer in front of them. It has to be done, but it is not the product, and it eats development time.

What Codelore is building

Capybase is a separately hosted business logic layer: a wide range of preset endpoints behind secure auth. Codelore hosts and manages it in the EU, and a team’s access includes every endpoint. Capybase does not store client data. Each API has an OpenAPI spec, so a team can generate typed clients, types and queries straight into its own backend with its own tooling. Onboarded users get a developer portal with documentation for every endpoint, Swagger docs and the spec files. A team calls Capybase, or imports from it, in its own code and builds product logic on top.

The goal

Less time on plumbing and more on product: a team starts from working endpoints and auth instead of an empty service, without running another service itself.

Capybase is in active development. More public notes will follow as it ships.
